‘Tis the Season…for mail! After addressing and stamping thousands upon thousands of wedding invitations in my Lovely Somethings era, I discovered a handy little trick that I utilize every year for Christmas cards to speed things up and keep things looking good! 🌟 Turn your envelopes sideways so that they are vertical/portrait, so that you can use the bottom corners as guides when applying your stamps. You can then eyeball it with the two sides and corner viewable, holding the stamp above to line it up, then lay it down to apply, no more twisting and turning or “does this look straight?” #christmascards #postagetip

When one of your best friends nabs her DREAM job, her own neuro-science lab (even if it means she moved Canada), you immediately say YES when asked to design branding for said new lab. Over the years, I’ve always pushed @emilyoby to tell me more about the work she does - you guys it’s so fascinating, for example some of it was done with the goal of helping stroke patients move limbs again - so us doing this work as a team I learned so much.,.but in Liz language, like the beauty of the brainwaves feedback reports. I’ll share the end product very soon; as I didn’t remember to make this post until we wrapped up the designs. How we spent our Halloween- a fun double date with Tim and @kassaf20 at @steakcle. It’s HEAVY on the kitsch factor (some misses, steak knives weren’t terribly functional) and the server said “influencers really like..” a million times, BUT the food was surprisingly good. It’s for a sure a different concept for a steakhouse in the area. Super casual dining room, and everything is so playful, plus it’s a prix fixe menu so you get your entree + sauce + unlimited waffle fries or veg for one price, making it way more approachable. We did listen to the waitress and started with their creamed corn, probably the star of the show, and the Brussels - very fresh and not overcooked 👏 Def a fun experience and next time one of us will save room for the Ferris Wheel Ice Cream Sunday. Oh yeah, get the cheese sauce for the fries! #steakcle #thisiscle #cleeats

Friendsgiving turned Soupsgiving this year. I got a little spooky with things with our smaller crew. I really wanted to try a setup where everyone could see everyone. @blaircscott had the idea for the pentagram and a little coven even formed around the @solostove. Karaoke didn’t happen this year as the @cleguardians were our entertainment. BTW I’m still catching sh*t from everyone as I said it was casual this year. Even Blair admitted tonight at dinner “for me, this was casual”. I love coming up with ideas, and hopefully surprising people and making them feel special, that’s what Friendsgiving has always been about to me, valuing those that make our lives so rich. PS we put up 120 hanging candles and bats the night before the party, only the 15 or so actually affixed to the poles made it to party time. It was def a fun game of gathering them as they fell to keep them away from Piper. 🦇🕯️ HAPPY HALLOWEEN, ALL!

Thanks to everyone for your support, both cheering us on and your donations, for this year’s (and my first) @bikevelosano Bike for the Cure in support of cancer research @clevelandclinic. It’s crazy how much progress has been made in cancer research but equally mind-blowing is how much more needs to be accomplished. It affects all of us, in one way or another. I was proud to ride beside Blair, riding for his mom, Cheryl, who I never had the privilege to meet; and for my Aunt @kkspoerndle who gratefully caught things early enough and fought through treatment and is still here loving us all; and for my dear friend, @designing_elizabeth’s wonderful mother, Patty Q, who was truly a joy to everyone while she was still on this side, and I know still watches over Beth and her family with grace and guidance 🦊 If you’re compelled and able, you can still donate through the end of this month, link in my bio. Super casual dinner last night, with friends. There were no utensils, but there were cups that made it back from the Olympics! I thought Goalball must be the French word for Handball?! Gratefully it was googled and we learned it’s a Paralympic sport, something with a ball that has bells in it, played by blind athletes. #themoreyouknow #paralympics
