Liz Scott is a creative consultant and entrepreneur
born, raised and residing in Akron, Ohio. Her areas of expertise include brand development, retail + wholesale strategy and graphic design.
Liz started her career in 2004, when she founded Immix Studio, her corporate graphic design company, where she would work with some of the area’s favorite institutions, like Swensons, Don Drumm Studios & Gallery, Acme Fresh Market, The Ohio State University and the Cleveland Clinic. That same year she also co-founded Rubber City Clothing.
In 2009, when Liz became the go-to for her friends’ wedding invitations, she developed Lovely Somethings, which would consecutively win her Best Wedding Invitations awards. By 2014, her love for all things paper would lead to the brand’s award winning brick-and-mortar storefront, located in Bath, Ohio.
After celebrating 5 years of success and stunning paper, Liz shuttered the Lovely Somethings storefront in December 2019. Then ya know, the pandemic, which Liz read as a sign for more change, retiring from the wedding industry and closing the Immix chapter in late 2020. Gratefully, the community that formed between the pink walls of the shop continued to live on through Troop Lovely Somethings and her curated subscription and shindigs.
For the latest chapter, Liz Scott Design(s) was launched in 2021 and encompasses all the values and creativity that have made Liz’s previous businesses so impactful in her community. Through intentional designs and purposeful messaging, LSD is committed to maintaining authenticity when it comes to branding and business strategy. As someone who has created and refined many brands, Liz knows the most important part of being successful is creating something that effortlessly represents you.
When Liz isn’t meeting with clients or planning her next adventure, you can find her challenging her husband, Blair, in putt putt or cribbage; scouting out the best restaurants in the country; and snuggling with their dogs, Quinn, a soft-coated Wheaten Terrier, and Piper, a silver Lab.
